I was chased and bitten by a goose when I was a kid.
Funny story... I worked my way through college as part of the grounds crew for the university. One day the bossman sent me and another student out to the student lake to round up the geese. He had put a cage on the back of the truck, and just sent us out there. We thought that we were just going to grab the geese and toss them into the cage, but... the guy I was working with was a 19 year old Hawaiian kid, and he just grabbed one, ha ha. That thing just flogged him with wings and was biting him like a snake over and over, and the rest of the geese came to help out their friend. Even after he let go of the goose, the rest had him on the ground and were just beating the hell out of him. I had to rescue him swinging a weedeater, but the whole time I was trying to imagine how I was going to tell everyone that my partner was killed by water fowl. ha ha.

Poor bugger. I wonder if he has revenge fantasies like me of eating a roast goose. Never seen it in the States though. Are the Brits still serving it on Christmas?

I am glad you and the bossman changed you mind and let the kid live.
I just came back to say all the pups look like great little guys.

The dogs know who is in charge, as well they should be, and they think you are a good good person, good person.

Are they smart? Way smarter than people understand. In the dog world, they are the geniuses, and the dog world is doing somewhat better than the human world.

They study us from every perspective, and learn things about us we don't know about ourselves. Probably the most important things.

So, you are under good supervision. Just pay close attention, give her what she wants, and life will be better right away. She has a wise and kindly face.

Congrats Cosmic! One good dog deserves another.

We just had friends visit with their two pups and my dog was so bummed the next day when his pack buddies weren’t here.

Good company is important for pipe smokers and dogs.

Me taking the shield wall out for a walk…

Yeh, I only walk them when Ragnar isn’t here, because he just stays behind until the leash has slack and then runs till it clotheslines him, over and over. Ha ha, my neighbors would think he is the “special” dog, ha ha.

But, they still make the Saxxons in my neighborhood tremble with fear. puffy

I wish that I could post videos. I have a great one of Loki and Stormr playing in the living room. Stormr dominates by laying on the smaller dogs, and I used to think of Alf and Frida as large till… but, anyways, Loki lets her lay on him so he can get a nose under her, and then he flips he up in the air. It is like watching gladiators fight.
Needless to say, I have an end table to repair, ha ha.

My sister's good friend from grade school sixty years ago adopts puppy mill Stratforshire Terriers, also known as pit bulls. As with many fans of these dogs, she has found a succession of them sweet natured and companionable.

When she lost one of them to old age recently, she went ahead and adopted one from out of state. I think it was shipped from Kentucky to her in Massachusetts, and she's in love all over again.

Dogs and cats know almost immediately if you know their "culture," and they will get right in step and fit your life like a glove. One fine orange tabby cat I had, who looked like a cougar, carefully examined the house when I brought him home. I was tired from the whole adoption process from the animal shelter and flopped down for a nap, and that little guy flopped right down next to me. Deal.

Wow. You have some nice dogs. Enjoy them!! Dogs are something else. Not much of a cat person but the very definition of loyal is a dog.

Lost my 12 y.o. Shepard Pitt Rottweiler Doby mix about a year ago. 50lbs of pure muscle knock down a grown man not even blink. Still miss him dearly. Was like a wild mustang they'd have surely put down but I saved him. Didn't like any one else but the family and he let you know it too. Bit a few friends of mine and knocked over their kids. Tough as nails that dog and needed a strong hand. But he got 12 years with me he'd never have otherwise. RIP old friend. See you soon.
