The second in the Samuel Gawith and The Danish Pipe Shop Cooperation!
Description:
Due to our close cooperation with Samuel Gawith, and the success of The Brown Sugar Flake, we can now introduce the second Samuel Gawith/The Danish Pipe Shop (SG/TDPS) tobacco called Beginners Luck. Again it has been a long process with numerous tests and we are really pleased with the result. The goal was to find a perfect tobacco for the ones who smokes occasionally, fans of semi aromatic pipe tobacco and new pipesmokers. This is a loose cut, easy to pack, mixture with top quality Virginia, Burley and Cavendish. For a pleasant flavour whisky and vanilla has been added.
The good-looking labels for the SG/TDPS series are designed by Danish graphic designer Mette Funck.

Edit: I tried and failed to show a picture of the tin

Well, that's another one for me to add to the list. Has anyone in US ordered from them ? Any problems with customs etc. ?

Hi Jabo, though I am unable to answer your questions (I live in the UK) and I am not likely to try this particular blend due to it being an aromatic, I can tell you that the first blend that was a result of a collaboration twixt Samuel Gawith and the Danish Pipe Shop (Brown Sugar Flake) is one of my favourite smokes!
If you do get to try this I'm sure we would all appreciate your thoughts on it :puffy:
Regards,
Jay.

In the US, and I've ordered pipes, tobacco (both the SG collaborations), and pipe accessories from The Danish Pipe Shop in 2016.
Great vendor; never any problems or additional fees from shippers or gov't.

Thanks for the info Snowyowl. That puts me ta work. Don't mind the shipping cost but with all the FAD bull going on I didn't want ta put customs on the shortlist with them. This may be our only way ta get some blends. We'll figure it out, we beat prhibition. Will give ya an an update Jay ASAP. ;-)

I ordered from them once, fast shipping and smooth transaction, although I did get a tax bill from FedEx about a month later.

I've ordered from The Danish Pipe Shop a number of times. I'm a fan of STG's exceptional My Own Blend line, and they carry the entire line. Prices shown on the site include a 20% VAT tax, which is applicable only in the EU. However, shipping will run you approximately 20% of the purchase price when buying tobacco. So that's a good estimator of your out-the-door cost.
As for getting a customs bill from Fed-Ex: Request parcel post which will arrive in the US via USPS. I have not (as of yet) encountered any customs difficulties when shipping in this manner.

Many orders with The Danish Pipe Shop, I have never chosen a shipping method (clicked right thru) and mine shipped via USPS once on this side of the Atlantic.

Ditto. I ordered a couple tins each of Beginner's Luck and Brown Sugar Flake from the Danish Pipe shop, didn't specify a particular shipping method and the packet arrived just fine.
