Pipe hunter, that self control had already been lost above, you’re either too stupid to see it or you’re just another part of the problem. At what point did truth become losing self control? When the problem was pointed out?
Cellar! Cellar deep!

Perhaps in future forums such as this will offer the best in black market strategies. Tobacco isn't going away anytime soon but the way to get it may become increasingly clandestine. Companies doing business now legally may not chose to participate, but others comfortable with a shadow business will, because there is money to be made. For as long as tobacco can be gown and processed, it will be sold.

Yea the Blue tinkle will chip away and away and away and away and away until it’s A Blue Stain. Just remember that blue will turn Black and wear helmets and Jack boots and call itself AntiFa or some other throw back title.
I'm a very liberal Democrat, but I honestly think blanketing all tobacco products is completely ignorant. Cigarettes are completely different from cigars which are completely different from pipe tobacco. If you want to legislate products then have studies done before proposing it. When it comes to pipe tobacco I don't think people even consider having studies done with people who only smoke pipe tobacco to see the health effects it has.
It seems like today a lot of people blanket others based on how they vote and if it's different from them then that person is the spawn of Satan.
We really need to leave the political crap behind and just be people again.

This is all very reasonable but I think misses the point that the war on tobacco is only partly fought on reasonable grounds, referencing a single fact/assumption: tobacco use in any form is lethal and costs society billions of dollars in healthcare cost. That is the medical/social underpinning, and lawmakers have neither the experience nor the interest to become differently persuaded.

I'm more of a centrist/libertarian type and I agree that the current discourse is dangerous. It's amazing the atrocities that can be justified if the other side is an "unperson". Also, IBTL.

Come on folks, get with the times, the cash crop is marijuana. Smoking is being attacked by all sides, unless you smoke marijuana, then you're enlightened and hip.

Wow. I mean, if the overall problem is stopping the vaping usage, then why can't they separate everything to do with vape purchases online and stop those? Seems like they just want to end all smoking whatsoever...unless it's green leaf related, then they're a champion of the cause. Doesn't make sense. A lot of politicians want to end the war on drugs, but eliminate our beloved pipe tobacco.
Also, holy shit! Taking it from $2.8311/lb to cents $24.78/lb seems a little excessive, doesn't it? I saw that roll your own tobacco already has this tax, but damn, just seems like a huge jump.
Going to have to seriously start creating my stockpile, just in case it seems. I don't want to not be able to buy something one day, or have to feel like I need to sell off a child to be able to afford pipe tobacco. Of course their solution would be to just quit.

IBTL ... there's always someone who has to bring a political label into the discussion.
You want to point fingers? You want to lay the blame on someone? Blame smokers. Four decades in the 20th century of overindulgent, inconsiderate public smoking turned the anti-smoking movement into a personal fight for most involved. The politics and the economics are incidental.

Yeah, it's weird how a topic about a bill being introduced in congress could somehow get "twisted" into a political discussion. We're not only afraid of our Goddamned shadows, we're afraid of talking about our shadows.

I totally get trying to keep politics out of this forum but you are ignorant or blind if you don't see politics in every level of our lives these days.

Too stupid to see what? To see that this forum has a policy against political posts. Part of what problem? The problem of choosing to follow the rules of the forum rather than spout cliche political nonsense.
The AntiFa??? I don't abide by a particular political party. But I know enough to know that people who use that term without irony or humor are, for all practical purposes, morons in every sense of the word....
