I'm always combing the racks to see which pipes haven't been smoked in a long time, so

I can change that situation. This morning, I lit upon two that I'm afraid haven't been smoked

in months, both really nice pipes. One is my only Canadian, an Iwan Ries Exclusive. I think it

has been neglected because when I go for a big bowl, I usually go for my two biggest, so this

one -- an ample big bowl Group 5 -- gets missed. The other is a nice reddish stained Greek

briar PTM Amadeus straight pot, which has been overlooked because it is such a stout and

sturdy but unglamorous briar. Pick out two of your overlooked pipes for smoking, and tell

us what they are and how they get passed by.

I have a few pipes I rarely smoke, here's a couple. First is a GBD Virgin, a nice "little" pipe just a tad over 4 inches long, it just looks fiminine to me.

Second is a GBD Bronze Velvet prince that had no stem when I bought it, I restored it and added a churchwarden stem, the reason it gets passed up is I'm a clencher, and a churchwarden doesn't lend itself to clenching. I don't have a picture on file of this one.
