Hello pipe folks, I ended up with a decent pipe with a broken stem. I am using a caliper to measure the the two diameters of interest. 7.7mm for the bit that goes in the shank and 14.7mm for the larger piece that connects to the shank. What replacement would fit in there?

Generally speaking you cannot buy a replacement stem for a pipe. Stems have to be cut to fit a pipe. You can buy premolded stem blanks but they will not just plug into the pipe. They will have to be turned on a lathe or cut with a tenoning attachment. and then profiled to fit the shank. Or have one hand cut from rod stock. You'll need to send it to a pipe repairman to have a stem fitted.
