Need help identifying my new pipe

Hey everyone,

I recently bought this beautiful pipe. However, previous buffings (from prior owners) have pretty much worn off the maker’s name.

There are three lines. (And I am guessing here)
A scripted top line
A "Handmade" ? or "ANC..."
A "Denmark" print?

If anyone could help me figure out the markings, I would be appreciative!

There's a website that you can use, it has markings and stuff. But I don't have the address anymore. I'm sure someone here does, it's where I first got it. Try googling that website. Word it different ways like Pipe Identification and what not.

I believe you have a Bjarne Nielsen pipe. Here is a photo of my Blowfish:



Here is the underside of the shank with its stamping:



First line: Bjarne Nielsen (in script)
Second line: HANDMADE
Third line: IN DENMARK

I think you’ll recognise the lower loops of the cursive letters.

These are not the same as his “Bjarne” factory pipes with the “bj” stamps on the stems. Your pipe, like mine, would be the artisan version. It’s a shame we lost this talented carver so young.

Yes! That’s it!! I confirmed with. Closer look. The only item I could find (rubbed out) was grade of the pipe.
Nonetheless, mystery solved!

I was able to find that website with pipe markings. Fortunately they did have Bjarne pipes in there, however it was Pipedia to the rescue.
