Wow it sure is in tight supply. I guess Peterson has decided to produce less of it than in past year's or this year's is dynamite and has made it hard to get.

Thanks for the tip on the McClelland christmas I'll have to look into that. I don't mean to take this thread off topic but have you tried their vanilla black cavendish? I was thinking of trying it out as well.

I think I'll pick up 2oz of the VBC and also 50g of the Dan sweet vanilla honeydew. (Having a hard time finding the Dan svh in the smaller 50g tins though.)
I need to search the posts for suggested first english blends as all of my pipe smoking career has been just aromatics.
Thanks :)

The tax rate is 75%. What crap these damn liberals are ruining this state. lol

no kidding.
I would love to order from these guys except for that. I will order pipes from them tho. Cupojoes is very cool for covering some of the taxes. Smokingpipes is my site, but waited too long to grab that Pete x-mas blend.

I've been enjoying this the last few days, it's a superb blend--gumdrop sweet and nary a bite. Far surpassing last year's offering, but just shy of being favored over the 2010 holiday blend for me. I have a few extra tins and would be willing to trade anyone with an unopened 2010--shoot me a PM.

Roth its funny you should mention the early morning pipe as that's on my list of tobaccos to research. I'm also curious with the escudo navy.

Thanks Roth I'll look into those. Heck I still have to figure out how to breakup those coins to smoke. Just was reading up earlier how to deal with flake tobacco so that has me interested as well.
I used to be under the impression that anything non aromatic was English but that's not the case with tobacco like Virginia's correct? Are they in their own class? Come to think of it I tried an English blend quite a few years ago once and it was horrible smelling lol. I know this sounds stupid but it had a very strong smokey taste. Is that the latakia that gives it that?

Thanks for the tips Roth. The article I read on flakes was to fold and stuff I hadn't been sure if that applied to the coins as well. I hear a lot of people cube cut their flakes & coins. I'll give it a shot when I pick up a tin.
Sorry that I steered the thread off course a little.

If anyone is still looking for this it looks like cup o joes still has some.
I got my tin in the mail and it smells amazing. I can't wait to smoke a bowl. I may hurry up and buy a 2nd tin to age in my cellar for a year or 2.

PM did you order from CupOJoe's or were you able to find it elsewhere?
I can't wait to try. Smells exactly as it's been described on the forum.

Yeah me 2. However the 75% in state tax is keeping me from buying a 2nd or 3rd tin of it.

Yes briarfan I was able to get a tin from cupojoes. Only downside is that any NY state residents they have to charge you 75% tax. It's fantastic. If I could afford it I'd buy 20 tins and stock pile them for the next few years. lol
I know you're upstate. If you're ever near Albany you should stop in to pipesandcigars.com. Also I think Cupojoes is near Lake George. I've never been to either one of them but if I'm ever up there I will see about that.
