i can't seem to get the pictures to post. I put the tinyurl link in between the image codes, but I'm getting blank boxes.

I'm sure if you go up and ask her daddy, he might give you nod. Before you know it, it'll just be you, her, a bottle of wine, and the big ol' full moon.

It's not mine yet, but I can't decide if I want to wait it out and find a shell billiard from the same year. What do you guys think?

That is a Shell. Pipes from this era, be they Shell, Root, or Bruyere, are not exactly easy to find.

I was reffering to a shell billiard instead of a Dublin shell. They've always been my favorite.

Listen to Frankenstein, but be aware that, despite her pedigree, she could keel over at the onset of any excitement. I'd invest in something a lot younger.

Found another pipe with stamping 1341418/20 which indicates the pipe is from 1925-1934, but the problem is this pipe has no date number after England or after the patent number. With that said, what year would this be? Is there no way to tell since the suffix number is non existent?

Dunhill Shell Made in England over the Patent number, with no date mark, yes? I'm assuming the stampings are clear and readable, and that the date mark is not just worn off?
Like this?

1941-43/45. Unfortunately, the John Loring page that discusses these pipes is currently not available, but it specifically references these markings, without a date code, as being used by Dunhill during WW II. For some discussion of WW II Dunhill's see here, as you can see from the example, some of the pipes from these years did have date marks.

I have been unable to find the Loring pages for quite some time. Normally I would just search on google and they all came up but recently nothing. Have they been removed? I knew I should have printed them out!
