I find that smoking mask the tasting of good whisky so I would pair mainly JW black with my pipe. Easy drink with enough flavour.

I was sharing a cigar with my neighbor last week and he pulled out a bottle of Balvenie that was finished in rum casks. Very rich, full bodied stuff.
