Natural Smooth Finish Patina

This is in no way insightful or helpful, I just thought it was interesting to see how the finish on this Peterson Natural Silver Mounted Army 15 has changed in just 3 years since I bought it new. Different lighting, but still. This is my only Va pipe, but I rarely smoke Va’s, so this has probably only been smoked maybe 35-40 times. Methinks I should start washing my grubby ass hands before handling this pipe, though. I think the dark smudge might be oils from skin.

Thank you! I’m making a point of smoking them more this summer. The lovat is a dedicated cherry pipe that I’ve smoked maybe 5 times in 2 years ?

Damn thing smoked great, but I chewed almost all the way through the vulcanite stem after a couple months. Had to sell it.
