That sir is a Barling 1109. I do have a side view of that pipe.

I was only really interested in the first 3 pipes.
Jay, you have piqued my interest, so what are the three of interest?

From the left, Savinelli 'Bent Bob' sitter, 'Compact' Made in Italy nosewarmer and the third is apparently marked 'JV'. The others am not too fussed about though the Bari Bautav (Denmark, last pipe on the right) might prove interesting. They all look rather scabby but that's how I like my estates :D

Jay.

I suspect the Barling's been re-stemmed, FWIW. Off-axis & asymmetrical.
Yes, if it's a post family era four digit pipe, the last 9 would be the code for a flat stem. I can't easily tell from the picture if it's flat or taper?

DMC, they arrived today and the Barling 1109 has a straight taper stem with the usual X'ed Barling stamp. I reckon it's an original stem as the flat area of the shank (it's a sitter) matches perfectly with the flat on the stem. FWIW the blast is quite sharp and very attractive though as a smoking pipe a little on the small side for me.
The Dunghill with cracked bowl is nowhere as bad as I guessed it might be but will still be an interesting fix up.
Regards,
Jay.

I bet Forums resto guys have a half dozen creditable ways to address the cracked bowl and get another decade or two out of the Dunny. Which will put you in the running for the least expensive Dunny estate in good smoking condition. Then I'd just do the repair and smoke it in rotation forever.

MSO, I reckon the dunnie will have to be a keeper whether it smokes well or not as it would be unsaleable with such damage.
That said, I believe it does have some collector value as I'm pretty certain it is of the first year that the Cumberland was introduced and read somewhere not many were made that first year.

Jay.
