My Worst Nightmare!

Figured I'd share my bizarrely ridiculous plight with the only group on earth that could understand the frustration.
Smashed my hand yesterday on the farm. While not bad it's removed any grip strength I normally had a replaced it with pain?‍
Now I can't open my tobacco jars.
Which means the only blend I can access is the Areo I put in my travel bag yesterday morning. End less supply of blends in pretty little jars all that might as well be on the moon.
Might have over reacted last night in a fit of nic fit induced frustration. Took a knife and cut the top out of a jar. Currently contemplating calling one of my employees and paying him a few hours wage to come in and open a few jars for me ?‍
He'll find that hilarious.

Already on the way from Amazon. It's normally not an issue lol but figured it was worth the dirt cheap cost just in case this ever happens again. Course I'll most likely (Hopefully) be healed by the time it arrives.

too bad you don't live in walking distance, I'd show you how to open jars with your elbow. I had a glass plate explode in my hand while dishwashing. Somehow the shard went through without hitting anything major but for a few days useless hand. Found out you can do more with your elbows then you ever thought possible including opening jars. Hint use your good hand to twist. I wish I could explain better. Oh a towel or gribby type cloth drapped on the lid helps too.

Just went and asked a neighbor I'm semi friendly with due to neighbor hood watch kinda issue.
And get a I'd love to help you and would if it was any other jar but lost blah blah blah cancer blah blah blah can't in good moral blah blah blah sigh. Employee said bring a few over in a hour he will open them so least I found a temp solution. ?‍

And, injuring my hands. Your post scares the shit out of me. I’ve been snake bitten on the hand, shot, and crushed metacarpals from my boxing days. Now, the very idea terrifies me, with having to use small tiny tools to work on small tiny things like jewelry.

Ditto. I'm recovering from surgery on my index finger. My dexterity on the guitar has been set back years. I have a new found appreciation for protecting my digits.

I had surgery on my wrist a couple weeks ago and just got cast off and the stitches out. Apparently too old for mosh pits these days. Being down an arm/hand is no fun, but didn’t have any issues with jars.

Ouch, ouch, and ouch. The elbow maneuver sounds possible. Can you drive? Maybe one of your locals would be able to crank a few jars open for you. Grocer, gas station guy, hardware? Opening jars is fairly easy heroism. I'd have about six opened, just as a back-up. As for your hand, ice it, but not too long at a time, and take an anti-inflammatory (whatever you can use). I use those peel and stick pain pads that help some.

Finally broke down and opened a pull tab style can from C&D I had in the cellar. Then a gal pal swung by to get my help with her heating system so I traded the work (I was gonna do for free?) for her opening me a half dozen jars. Finally found my self back in sweet sweet baccy bliss. Strangest adventure in recent memory.

Really while I was a tad annoyed with his response in the moment. Had I been thinking and a little more understanding I would've expected his response. He lost his sister last year after a very ugly year long experience.

I’m not trying to be a dick, but if a co-worker of mine was like that I’d vocally scrutinize everything they did that wasn’t healthy.
