My Visit to Blatter &Blatter

I live in Montreal and now got 3 Blatter pipes. The 2 select "handmade pipes" I got are my best smoker. I really recommend to buy one from them.

I hope they have the next generation -- blood or surrogates -- to keep the shop and pipe-making going. The current proprietors should be kept on as greeters and consultants after they retire. Not too many pipe shops and carvers like this.

I just ordered another pipe from Blatter & Blatter, a small sized half bent apple. I've tortured myself for two weeks trying to make a choice but kept coming back to this little one.

Now the waiting begins :mrgreen:

Nice Blatter.

I own a half dozen Blatter production pipes and eight freehand "Select" versions, most signed by Robert Blatter.

That said, all of them are estate pipes and most are still waiting for me to restore them.

I have never yet managed to visit the store in Montreal but have plans to drop in next month on a trip through Montreal.

I agonized over it and the same size with a slightly longer stem and a standard sized one. This one won out :mrgreen:

Just arrived this morning, small, 24 gram. Immediately filled with some Bayou Morning and fired it up. I love it and can't say enough good things about the guys at B&B. :worship:

This will be a dedicated Va/Per pipe, Bayou Morning and Cask No.4
