My View This Morning

Not uncommon for us in rural Northern CA... this visitor stopped by late this morning. No fear. This bird was about 10' away from me. We need to hunt these guys more often LOL

Magnificent birds. We were once paddling the Big Piney creek in southeast Missouri, when fourteen of these rascals flew over us, one by one. Sounded like B-52's coming out of the underbrush at us. No more than ten feet of the ground.

About an hour after I posted this yesterday, the wife and I went for a walk down our rural road. We came across a large Tom and a few of his ladies. That Tom gave us some warning calls... I armed my self with a large stick and we picked up the pace hahaha...
