I thought so too Al, the Barling might actually be worth something but I don't really care, I was more interested in how old it was and from my research it appears to be from 1962-1969. I just think it's cool that I have a couple pretty old pipes that are now mine. If only they could talk!

Nice Brian! Glad to hear you had a good vacation.
It's always nice when you happen upon nice finds like that. I could only be so lucky again. My first time was getting my 5 Trypis pipes. Still haven't smoked the Poker style Dublin yet. Can't decide what to smoke in it so it sits in my rack waiting lol.
Talk soon, don't forget to take some pics of the box for us :D

Mmmmm... Zombie Thread... Scary.
Just thought I'd throw these pics up. After a long hiatus, the last three of these pipes are fresh off the bench in my newly expanded Pipe Cave
From top to bottom (or left to right):
1) Radcliffe Honey Cured 2) Bream Nash 3) Carey Magic Inch

Can't wait to drop 'em off and smoke a bowl with you, Brian.
Cheers,
-- Pat

I can't wait to hear how that one smokes. Walls are nice and thick, and it has some really fun colour popping in it. It's a LOT more red than it looked through the accumulated smoke and hand oils on the pipe. I think all these pipes are going to work for you though. They're all about your size.

Sounds like you had a wonderful time, and what a great score.

They look great all nice and shiny, ready for smoking.

Bri, glad to hear that you had a great time with your family and made some great finds. Those pipes look great.
Pat, did you resto those for Bri??? You are just getting better and better at this thing. I totally love what you are doing.

Yep. I did the Brigham and Barling resto within a week of Brian's vacation, but ran into some life issues which ate my free-time so only got back to these three pipes in the last week. They are wildly different pipes, with different stinger/stem designs. It will be fun to hear back from Brian about how the smoke.
The Barling actually made its way into my Virginia Rotation recently, in a trade for a vintage Kaywoodie Dublin.

Good stuff sir. I think I am going to work on a pipe rack this weekend and just use it as a template, then will play around with making a nicer one.

Happy to see you had a good vacation with your kids. Don't we all wish that every vacation could be a "Pipecation"? :puffy:
