When I walked in I saw several older men smoking pipes. I talked to some of them a bit, and looked around. They seemed suprised about how much I knew about pipes and tobacco. I ended up buying a Paul's Cayuga(The pipe that they make) Canadian. I also bought two ounces of their house blend Darwin Asa, which is a wonderful smelling English. As I mentioned before, I have their special card, so I got 20% off any pipe because it is the month of my birthday, and ounce of tobacco free. The free tobacco is called Sweet and Mild. It smells great, but since I'm with my girlfriend, I've yet to smoke it. Also I was going to take picture, but I forgot my camera.

one big toe down for forgetting the camera

Well, I will be home from school for memorial day weekend. My mom really wants to go to the crepe place, so since I' won't be home for mothers day, I may take her there as a belated mothers day gift. If so I will stop by Paul's and take pictures if they allow me to. Oh and I just finished the first bowl in my new pipe. I packed it about half way. It has a smaller bowl, which is fine with me. It was a pretty good first smoke. Kind of hot, but my other pipe smoked hot at first, but cooled down after awhile. As for the baccy, it was wonderful. It was a nice light, but flavorful english. I could easily smoke it all day. It may be my go to blend

I'm gonna put the bees on cruise control next thursday, and make the trip down to Paul's, maybe add a pipe, get a card, and try some of that English blend you bought. What school are you headed for?

I have as yet to get a Cayuga - my money has all been going for 'baccy, of late. I have enjoyed Darwin Asa - fairly full-flavored, but not strong, English blend. It fits in my category of "I am always glad to smoke this, but don't feel I have to have it in the rotation all the time". (That's a pretty small category - only Old Dublin and Murdock's Pipe are in it, although Larry's Blend might make it in.) :puffy:

I love it. I think it may be my "go to smoke"
