Having a place to put everything one uses when smoking and caring for one’s pipes not only makes smoking more accessible but it also enhances the rituals that naturally come about as one smokes. For some, the rituals may be paper thin: Grab, pack, light, and smoke. For others, a care selection of both pipe and tobacco, a whiff after opening the lid, a first light carefully done followed by a tamp and a true light, a long smoke, finishing with a careful cleaning of the pipe. Everyone is different, but it all begins with a space for tobacco and pipes.
