I just noticed, after reading Fnord's post, that you became a member a month after I did. That puts us in the same "graduating class"! I also notice that my post count is a little light...
Receive my test results and Info from Doc Appt. Definitely COPD. Later part of Stage 1 and early Stage 2, which means that if I smoke no more, things will not progress too terribly fast and I can remain fairly healthy for quite a few years yet. With proper medication, exercise etc, the next 20 years should be okay. Hmmmmm, maybe time to start chawing?
ns, I was diagnosed with COPD in 1997 and I quit smoking cigarettes but still smoked my cigars as I did not inhale them. Today I have no signs of COPD and haven't for years. Don't sell anything just yet as COPD can go away and stay away. Today I make sure I do not inhale any pipe tobacco and I am still fine. I wish you the best of luck and prayer this will go away for you as it did for me.
NS that is very good news, that your symptoms should subside and be under control with supervision. The best to you and keep us posted as time passes. I enjoy reading your posts and keep those pipes nice and clean you may get to smoke them still.
