My Second Carve

yep - another kit. This is my second attempt. You can't really tell in the photos, but the dark red over the black gave it a really deep rich purple. It's a bit cooler than the photos! But I think I've had enough of the kits and just ordered a drill press. The kits are very limiting. The first kit was the least so from Briarworks.

Very nice carving pattern. I don’t know if rustication would be the right term. Salvador Dali golf ball, very unique and cool.

I started it out to be a little more subtle, but decided to make it a little louder after looking at it a while. I may take the rim back to a smooth red.
