Yes, that's a splendid piece!
I snagged one of hers at the WCPS, and it's pictured near the top of the thread for photos of the show. Only a slight initial hiccup: the stem is very tight in the mortise. Premal warned me about not holding the bowl while twisting, lest it snap at the juncture of stem and bowl. So, no dissembling for a while. Could be a function of adjusting to the weather here. (?) LINK is HERE.
I would also add that the stainless steel tenon will get dirty over time. To keep the fit of the stem as it should be just give the tenon a bit of a buff when you clean the pipe.
@jpmcwjr- I sent you a pm regarding your pipe.
Scottie
Thanks, Scottie. A quick perusal didn't reveal a video for the how to correctly remove the stem. Have you a direct link, please? I don't really need to take her apart for sometime, just wanted to see the excellent construction!
Thanks, Brian. Did hit the FB page, just didn't look long enough.
And nice photos of a fine pipe! Scottie does very nice work. One day I'll get my pencil shank photographed and posted. (No jibes, fellas, I am not a Weiner!)
Hey Brian, thanks for posting the photo of the pipe in your mug. It really helps with perspective. I thought the pipe looked well made but was kinda meh until this photo. Now I think it makes sense and looks great. I've often felt pipes should be photographed in a dummy's mouth...so...
