I was checking out the Peterson Pipe Notes site the other day and looking at the 301 pictured there. It’s a STAR System pipe. The caption notes how awesome this pipe can look when it has a correctly bent stem.

This got me curious as to how similar my 301 STAR bend is to the pictured one. As I start examining I notice that the pipes look similar. As I really start looking, it becomes clear it is the same pipe!

I know I have to show a pic, so I tried real hard and came up with one, but it isn’t a great photo. But take my word, the pipes are the same. Exact same grain and dark spots.

So ya, my pipe is a smokin’ model. How about that?

Used to be a regular feature but thankfully discarded with the forum reformatting a few years ago.

Nice idea but Kevin didn't get the right models. I want to see forum members in those outfits smoking pipes, not beautiful ladies.

Hubba, Hubba ! I see it ... clearly the same pipe and grain although the stain is faded a bit. It looks better now than in the picture ... but then I'm old ... ;)
