Thank you! Yes Sir, this is my first made from briar. I have made a couple from cherry wood with a maple stem, but I hadn't yet tried briar until this one, and now I'm hooked on carving briar.

The wood carving gives the pipe a whole separate dimension. You're not just turning a pipe on a wheel.
