Thanks for all the nice comments. I'm loving how easy it is to maintain meers; I'm really pretty new to them.

YANIK seems to post his owl pipes on Ebay about every two weeks. They usually don't last long. He's been having more "Buy it now" pipes rather than auctions. Some of his pipes are truly museum pieces. He seems to carve a lot of pipes that have a "death" theme; he's an artist. By "death" look at this zombie pipe:

Here's a link to what he has own now.

I really love some of Yanik's designs. The price tags are a bit high but who knows, perhaps I will pick one up evventually.

The only meer I plan to own is going to be the custom I desire from Storient but the owl is very artful and certainly unique to me. I have always felt a bit more thoughtful with my pipe in hand and reflecting on so many things while puffing. The owl is a sure sign of wisdom so it really is a fitting design to a theme. But I am so much practical myself that owning something like that I would perhaps display the pipe and never smoke out of it. Many pipes on the Storient site are like that. They look so detailed and beautiful I could never bring myself to smoke them but only to admire them. Someday when I win the lottery or like Mitt Romney someone dies and gives me millions I will collect them and put them in a glass case with proper lighting and invite all of you over to camp out and smoke pipes all week while we admire the meers and the quality tobacco selection in my tobacco vault!
One can dream...and laugh too! Because the owl also used to be the mascot of "Give a hoot don't pollute!" Remember "Woody the Owl"

I have been telling Yavuz he should make some classic monster meers. Those would sell great! A mummy, Ghost, Zombie, Vampire, Frankenstein, etc. It would be a sweet collection!

Those pipes are beautiful. The Celtic knot just plays better with me. Figural meers always kind of creeped me out. But after saying that I have to admit that when I clicked that eBay link, those skulls blew me away. What an incredible craftsmen. Congratulations on your acquisition!
