Received thia as a gift. I am really impressed. It is a bent, and I guess it is ebony. Nice handful of pipe, feels gooD. Rest easy in my mouth, easy to smoke while driving, hiking or working. No tongue bite, smokes very cool.

Looked on line and find it is a low priced pipe, but smokes better tha more expensive ones.

I own several high-end Artisan pipes, which I bought purely for aesthetic reasons. Of course I smoke them because what else is a pipe for but I own many factory estate pipes, which I paid very little for and they smoke every bit as good as my high-end pipes. If a pipe is well drilled and the draw is decent It will be a good smoker regardless of the price tag. I look at all pipes as a tobacco delivery system and not as an accessory. Just my two cents.

I suspect the brand is the one spelled “Whitluck’s”—the pipes appear to be from China using non-briar woods; there’s a website selling package deals of ebony pipes and canvas rolls; there’s an eBay store that says it’s based in Texas; there’s also a store on Amazon. All the product shots are the same.

I looked them up and realized I've seen them before.
One of my sisters has a flea market booth in SE Texas and at one time she had about 20 of those pipes for sell at $20 each.
She asked me if the price was too low. I told her the looked nice but I would never buy a pipe with a metal insert in the bowl.

Glad you are enjoying it. For a low priced pipe I recommend a corn cob. They come in all types of varieties, smoke cool, and are made in America. Some of my cobs are my best smokers. I’ve had them for four years and have not had to replace one yet. Most I purchased for under $20.
