@pitchfork==Rad will not due a full bent. He believes, and I hope I'm not misquoting him, that a full bent will leave too much moisture and gurgle. (please, this is my interpretation of his explanation)
No, I'm pretty sure that's it. I just found it interesting that it's more or less a rule for him. It IS possible to make full bents that smoke properly, but there's not as much room for error. I'm like you, I really find more bend to be more comfortable, both for clenching and in the hand.

Allan congrats on your new pipe, it is stunning. I am sure it will be bent enough for you and should be a pleasure to clench. What is the weight on that one? With a bend like that and the stem being as comfortable as it is, even if it weighed 65 grams(I doubt yours is that heavy) it would be easy to clench. Make sure to let us know how it smokes for you.

It weighs 46 grams, according to Rad
I mentioned in an earlier post that the trim is tamarind. Untrue. It is boxwood. Sorry.
Thanks to everyone for your good wishes and comments.
I am anxiously waiting for its arrival and I'm sure it will smoke fantastically, just like every one of his other creations.

I swear... If Rad's pipes start selling for thousands of dollars before I get one, I'm going to be really, really, really freaking sad. It would probably take me a year at least to decide on which shape I'd want.
Awesome pipe Allan. Congrats buddy!

With the amount of attention all the members are giving to Rad, he will be busy for a long long time.

Nice pipe...enjoy!

@cigrmaster. You are so right. I just can't understand how he makes such size group 4 to 5's that are so light?
@lostandfound: I own very few pipes compared to most on the forum. Instead of buying many lesser brands (of course, IMHO) I choose to investigate makers and get advice from this forum on the best shapes, stems, etc. To be quite honest, Harris has lead the way for me and been my mentor. I am now paying it forward, as they say, to others that I meet that are willing to listen to my recommendations--why not look at the estate market?
Of course, if they won't listen, I have to tie them down with duct tape to a chair and yell at them for a while...LOL
@shutterbug. Rad is so busy now with custom orders. Honestly the best value on the market, IMHO

Allan, you have been patient and eager to learn young grasshopper and it has been a pleasure, watching you grow. If memory serves I only had to talk you out of that Meer pipe with the ladies boobs, other than that one your choices have all been excellent. When you are ready for the next pipe, I do have few that I feel will fit your collecting focus.
