My latest estate find is this Bari pipe which was purchased for $6.34. ;) A lesser known brand which I think is going to be an awesome smoker. I did some research and I've only heard good things concerning this brand. This is the Bari 'Amber' Made in Denmark 9724. Do you think the '9724' is the model number?
This Bari pipe is 5.7 inches in length and has a great 2.1 inch deep bowl. The pipe has some really nice briar. Anyone else with Bari pipes I'd enjoy hearing your experience with them.

The bird's eye grain is fantastic. I hope it is a great smoker.

Nice. That's the first Bari I have seen that was straight. They come up on the bay every once in a while and even the ones with no stems usually go for pretty high. I have tried to get a few but they always go for more then I am willing to pay. I can't remember where I read it, but I rad that the brand is making a come back. Nice score.

Very nice. Bari makes great pipes -- very similar to Stanwell in terms of quality, functionality, etc. Yes, the 4-digit number is a model number. However, I've never been able to find rhyme or reason in terms of what those numbers signify.
$6.34??? That's a fantastic deal.

I purchased a Bari lovat on Ebay about a year ago for $35 in almost perfect shape. I did not know anything about this brand but liked the redish stain, size and shape. I have been very pleasantly surprised that this Bari has smoked considerably better than some of more expensive acquisitions. Next time I see a Bari on Ebay I wouldn't hesitate to bid for a second of their pipes.

Wow - you done good for sure - love the grain and shape. Here's my Bari:

Paid $50 for it new and unsmoked. Super impressed with this pipe. Honestly it smokes as well as my pipes costing twice as much and then some.

Thanks for all the nice comments. This pipe smokes just beautifully. Filled her up with a bowl of FM Cellar.
numbersix, that's a fantastic looking pipe. I've been looking at the same one as yours but with a bent stem.

Yes, if you can get a Bari at a good price, do it. I was given a Bari bent billiard as a Christmas gift by

my late wife's aunt (my late wife was then very much alive). The pipe is about 30 years old now, and

it looks about new despite being smoked pretty hard. The drilling and craftsmanship are excellent.

It's a dark, smooth pipe. It has fine heft but isn't heavy. Just couldn't ask for better. Nice Bari photos.

I think there are many more expensive pipes that don't smoke as well.

Thanks guys for all the comments. Happy to report back this Bari smokes excellent and I cannot get it to gurgle no matter how hard I try and believe me if anyone can make a pipe gurgle it's me! It's been dedicated to Frog Morton Cellar. I've smoked all the Froggie blends in this one over the past 4 days. I'm very happy with the purchase of this one.
