Hi, all
I'm a relatively new pipe smoker. I smoked my first pipe at the tender age of 18, but I've only really become a pipe smoker in the last few months. I was a pack and a half cigarette smoker for the last 12 years, but I finally quit and I'm really enjoying the switch to tobacco pipes. I usually smoke a bowl a night (I don't inhale!). I've really been enjoying trying new tobaccos and pipes.

My pipe collection is coming along pretty well, and I've found that I've been gravitating towards Peterson System pipes. I really like the way they smoke (I'm a P-lip convert) and their aesthetics really appeal to me. I have a few Deluxe System pipes that I really like, and I recently added one more to my rack, a "Patent System" replica hallmarked in 1977 (It's older than me!). I got a great deal on ebay, and when the pipe arrived, I was amazed by its condition. It was un-smoked, and aside from a little oxidation on the stem and tarnish on the silver collar, was in pristine condition. One thing that's bothering me though: the little screw-in condenser is missing from the end of the stem. Here are a few pictures:

The first image is of my new pipe. The second shows the threaded stem where the condenser SHOULD be. The third shows the condenser from my 8s.
Does anyone have any idea where I could procure one for my "Patent System" replica? The one from my 8s screws in just fine, and they were made almost a decade apart, so I'm assuming that any Peterson metal condenser should fit. I also know that a lot of people prefer their pipes without them, but I like having one in.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I wrote to the company (on their website) last month for a similar issue, and they sent me three different condensers, and I received them within a week, and they were free.
You will just need to know the model and also the year of your pipe, which can be determined by the stamping on the silver.

conlejm, thanks for the information! I had thought of writing to Peterson, but I had no idea whether they would provide that kind of service.
Thanks!
