Beautiful pipe! I don't think it would have taken much to twist my arm in to buying that one, especially being at a pipe show and all.
The hard part would be figuring out how to explain it to my wife after the fact

@ Kevin. I knew it had to be more than a few if you were talking yourself out of buying a pipe at a pipe show. We all succumb to PAD eventually. Enjoy the pipe my friend.

That is a beautiful pipe. I love the band and the Cumberland stem, very elegant looking. Wanna trade for some 1998 year old RyJ Churchills and Partagas Lusitanias? :P

I love the Chestnut series, if you had to fall of the wagon, that was a great way to go! Size 5 Dunhills are perfect, in my opinion and the Cumberland stem is just icing on that briar cake!

Really nice Kevin!! Does the same pipe come without a band and in a darker colour? Unlike everyone else here I don't like a lot of flash lol.

Very nice buy Boss, nice pipe, but...... you cannot leave members hanging. You stated, or insinuated that the sale price was less than the value price. So now I have to ask, what was the percentage in sale against value. I am not asking the price you paid, just the % that you may have saved.

Ok, I'll post up some dollars and cents info ...
- The price tag was $400.
- Greg Pease whispered to me that it is worth $1,200.
- I negotiated down to $300 and bought it.
- Adam Davidson (Pipe maker & SmokingPipes.com Quality control) told me Greg was correct if it didn't have the gold band. With the gold band SP.com, a few years ago would list it for $2,200 (the band adds $1,000), but today they would list it for $6,000 (because of the price of gold).
- Adam, Greg and I estimate that I could probably get $2,000 for it on eBay.
My girlfriend, Patricia, told me to sell it and make the quick profit.
DECISION: I will keep it and smoke the heck out of it.

Classy pipe Kevin and you got a good deal on it. I like the gold band and the Cumberland stem is really great. Congratulations

I was just talking to Eric, the owner of Cup O Joes. He is a big Dunhill seller and expert himself. He said if he was to get me that pipe new, today, it would be $3,000.

Deal of a lifetime! Good job. You're going to have to walk around looking like this whenever you smoke it! :D
