Never mind. Just looked at the Brigham case pix and it does take the filter.
FWIW, I've got a well used Brigham Two Dot that smokes very well without the filter. I'd be interested in your with/without filter comments.
Cheers to your new Rhodesian, Brian.

I have this pipe and I absoutley LOVE it! They kind of burn toward the draught hole a bit (well mine does anyway). I find that packing the bowl following the direction it's drilled rather than straight down to the bottom changes the way it burns. I found that works for me.
They are nice pipes! Enjoy!

I am going to look for one of those Chinooks at the Chicago show. I really like the lines of your pipe and I'm interested in trying one of the Maple Filter pipes. Excellent packaging as well. enjoy.

That is awesome Brian, congrats. As you know I am searching around for this pipe and its out of stock at P&C and I don't see it on smokingpipes. BTW, P&C calls the shape Rustic Saucer, for whatever that is worth. I thought it was a zulu variation but I will defer to Peck on the Rhodesian shape.
I will hunt it down eventually. Have a great time at the Pipe Club tonight with Pruss.
Cheers,
Dan

The Chinooks are great looking pipes. Love the blast, and the price is right too.
The one thing that keeps me from pulling the trigger on the purchase is wanting my first Brigham to be "Made in Canada". I'm going to have to keep searching the estates to find that bad boy...
I have a thing about needing a "Made in Canada" Canadian from as many canuck carvers as I can wrangle. I started with Trypis, and am still looking for my Blatter and my Brigham... one day I'll have a Parks.

Alright Brian... You fired it up last night. So how'd it smoke? What'd you think, what'd you notice? It looked good on you.
You're starting to make a habit of slight bents... trend or mirage?

I pulled the filter out and loaded the bowl with some CH. Nice cool smoke, one relight (which is impressive for me) and smoked it down to a cool white ash. Nice and light to clench and feels real good in the hand. I have a feeling this will be reached for quite often along with my Trypis freehand. Thanks to Victory Cigars for ordering it in so fast for me.
