Beautiful pipe Rick!
lonestar... JJ and I were talking about your pipes while we were together in Columbus. Now that I've seen Rick's new pipe, I guess we're going to need to talk while I can still afford one of your creations. :D

Good thing I have a beard to catch the drool. That is an amazing pipe. I just love the different sections on the stem/shank.

Stunning! I love the pix showing the pipe in your hand, that really shows the size perspective nicely.
I'm usually not a fan of stem adornments but I definitely love that treatment. Very tasteful and the briar, rosewood and cumberland stem really accent each other nicely. Neither overpowers the other. THAT is very well executed billiard, bravo!

After much anticipation I received my new pipe pipe today and all I can say is "WOW"!!!! :worship:
Looks even better in person and everything is perfectly symetrical... The burlwood extension and stem just meld into the shank like it is one piece............ Fantastic job my friend!!!!!
I am going to dedicate this to VA's which is why I wanted the longer shank. I loaded it up 3/4's with McCranie's Red Ribbon (my fav, a smooth, sweet VA) and was blown away by how well it smoked and made the VA taste!! Give your self a pat on the back Ryan... Job well done!!!
I am in the process of clearing rack space for more Alden's in the future.... I feel some serious PAD coming on!! :D

Being in Dallas, I got to hang out with lonestar at Up In Smoke a few weeks ago and I can tell you, they really do look better in person than in the pictures. He was all happy because he'd made one with some imperceptible pit or flaw because he got to keep it. Ryan, now that we know you can work wood, you need to work on your silversmithing skills!
