I'll investigate those blends. Thanks.Do you take your coffee black or with cream and/or sugar? If it's with cream and sugar, I'd suggest trying some Oriental Silk or Sunday Picnic. A heavy Oriental forward va/or just hits me with coffee and cream/ sugar better than anything else. For black coffee, I'm usually smoking a strong burley like 5 Brothers or Haunted Bookshop or something with Semois.
It's a variation of a burley grown in only one locale in the Semois Valley of Belgium. Quite a unique flavor. Like a shag cut which comes very dry. Definitely worth a try. If you don't like it, i'll happily take it off your hands.Educate me . . . . what's semois?
I think Pegasus is a great way to start, continue, and end the day.I think Pegasus, a Burley blend from Cornell & Diehl, with black coffee is an excellent way to start the day.
*welcome!
Can you recommend a blend heavy on the semois? I'm about to enter another experimental phase. It's gone from aromatics, to English, and now to Orientals. I've gathered my favorites and hybrids along the way. :DIt's a variation of a burley grown in only one locale in the Semois Valley of Belgium. Quite a unique flavor. Vincent Malin is the most popular blender using the leaf. Give his offerings a look see at SP. I've only had the Petit Robin, which is a shag cut burley/ semois blend, and I can't smoke that fast enough. I have the blue one with Belgian Sammy Hagar in my cart for the next order. That one is supposed to be straight semois. Can you recommend a blend heavy on the semois? I'm about to enter another experimental phase. It's gone from aromatics, to English, and now to Orientals. My favorite of the Vincent Manil Semois offerings is the green label "La Brumeuse," pure semois which is what Rookie was referring to above. Definitely give that one a shot! Can you recommend a blend heavy on the semois? I'm about to enter another experimental phase. It's gone from aromatics, to English, and now to Orientals. Great, next time I order I’ll have to try some of this. You guys are killing me! Hopefully Reserve du Patron is still available when I recover from the splurging I’ve been doing this month. My favorite of the Vincent Manil Semois offerings is the green label "La Brumeuse," pure semois which is what Rookie was referring to above.
