Here's a question for you guys that have smoked this blend: how much drying time do you think it needs? Should I open the tin and let it dry for a while and then put it in a jar or go right from the tin into the jar?

In my experience, Dunhill blends aren't terribly moist out of the tin. I would just open it and see what you think. I don't know how quickly you plan on smoking it but it will be ok in the tin for a while. I don't worry about tinned blends for at least 10 days or so.

I find dunhill to be one of the few tins I've ever opened which was optimum smoking right off the bat. I would seal it in a jar immediately after opening.

Same here. Royal Yacht (in my view) needs some drying time, but not this. It took the match well.

Thanks guys, I appreciate your input. I had a bowl of a newly opened tin tonight. It smoked nicely. I'll put it in a jar and dry it as needed, if needed.
