That's the great thing about pipes. Some can be smokers, some can be an objet d'art, some can be plant containers, etc.
It's exceptionally well carved though. It's very crisp and detailed in the important bits, yet the lines are soft around the cuff and it transitions to a smooth stem. The egg and talons are wonderfully smooth, without any little motifs. The result is that whole thing pops. I expect the carver will become a name with signed pipes. You got a real beaut.
Yup, already tried the first bowl yesterday. And it's more to come. Having a meers is to smoke until it turn brownish, and enjoy the process! ?
Yeah man, actually, I don't really mind even if it's not hand carved. I even told the seller that. And I told her, if it's really hand carved, it's a very fine piece of art! She 2 times, 3 times reassured me, it's hand carved. And showed me the video of their pipe made. So.... i take it as it's hand carved. But it doesn't matter, coz it's really very nice! ?
