Very cool! If I was good with my hands I would transform the live ammo bullet I took as a memento of my time in the army into a tamper.

I can say from experience that you can get good with 'em the same way you get to Carnegie Hall. Practice, practice, practice. I'd say get some spent shells in the same calibre and just start doing.
I guess you have a point, although using live ammo as a tamper would train me to tamp very lightly. :lol:

Haha well You may want to take care of the "live" aspect of that particular bullet to avoid any surprises. :lol:

Your new lathe will make it a lot easier to make a new tamper. I am impressed that you made this tamper with hand tools. I really like the spiral effect on the top.
