"You can do it"
Change your morning rituals, toss that pack again n start over.
Been 3 months without one here, yesterday while on river hunting the elusive Atlantic Salmon, I found an unopened pack of smokes in a vest I rarely use. Tempting, but I just grabbed my pipe n said screw you to the pack as I tossed it to my fishing buddy who still smokes.

You will, of course, cave in and fall off the horse from time to time. That is not failure and don't treat it as such, just commit to get back on the horse and then get back on the horse.

I like cigarettes personally and are a great compliment to pipe smoking. Sometimes I'll break a couple up and smoke it in a cob. Great nic hit.

Congratulations on passing your first week. For me the hardest time was about two months in, feeling like I could have just one but not start back up. Stay strong and keep at it, you are doing great.

I've been struggling with this myself. I definitely enjoy the pipe much more than cigarettes. It's when I'm drinking or short on time I end up grabbing a cig. Longest I've been able to go is 2 weeks.

Hey man, I caved too. Was doing good till I had to do work on my Suburban, something about the stress of working on cars really triggers me. Then I got on a hell hole of a job, 12 hour shifts of near constant stress and work got me back on the coffin nails, I went through a pack in less than a day. Ive never smoked that much.
Once that job wrapped out I threw out all rolling papers and packs left over, forgave myself and moved on. Havent had a nail since, been puffing lots of 5 Brothers and that helps. Especially with the morning amoke.
