My last achievement

Nice looking for sure! Show us more! Tell us more about what you did on this piece? i.e. drilled and bored it? cut the stem? how you finished it?

Looks like you figured out the pictures. Nice job orienting the grain!

Newbroom: I drilled and bored the block. I buyed the cumberland stem from Germany added the tenon and modified a little bit. I used a dark brown color for mordant and a reddish mixture for the stain. Then varnished with a precious amber based paint standing 200 centigrade degrees.

It is 16 cm. long, 5 cm. tall and weights 96 gr. I wanted a smaller shape, but I'd loose the fidelity to flames' design.
