I tried Haunted Bookshop for the first time yesterday. Smoked it in a cob, and it was delicious! Smooth, sweet, fulfilling, just what I needed after a hard day. 2.81/4 score on tobaccoreviews seems kinda low to me haha.
Haunted Bookshop is a very polarizing blend. I tried it multiple times in various pipes (cob, briar, meerschaum, clay) and it never hit for me, even when I smoked some with a bit of age on it. So I traded the rest of my HB away for things I do like.

I do have a tin of the Haunted Bookshop Cake that I need to crack open soon; I hear that it's an ever-so-slightly different combination of burleys that most reviewers prefer to the bulk/non-cake offering. Perhaps that one will work for me.

I find strips of unrubbed-out flake in my pound of Haunted Bookshop. I set those hunks of cake aside to smoke separately. Seems to me that Haunted Bookshop Cake Ready Rubbed may be another name for plain old Haunted Bookshop.
