It's no wonder at all to me that tobacco consumption was encouraged by physicians 70 years ago.
I’ll tell you what,…..my youngest son is a physician and while he’s here for Christmas, I’m gonna get out a bottle of 18 year old Jameson's and sit down with him to discuss the issue.

I'm reasonably sure by the end of the evening he will have approved of our choice of consumption.
(If not….. I’ll choke him out.) 8)

Like a number of poster have said, cigs have so many other additives it ain't funny. It may well be all the additives are the cause of all the cancer victims surrounding us.

There is the image of a pipe smoker that is pretty common, old men and Grandpas. Now there has to be a correlation here, pipes can't be too bad for us. How many people come up to you and say their Grandpa smoked a pipe? I always ask how old when he died and it is usually in the 80's and 90's.
I love it Earl! That is so true and so obvious that it's one of those things that flew right past me.
I have to remember to use that in my next editorial.
