Guys,
I am very excited, Mark Tinsky finished my custom bulldog pipe, I should have it in a few days and I'll post more.
I have admired his pipes for years but for one reason or another never purchased one. Well after a stressful month I decided to reward myself with a new pipe. I had him make me a stubby nose warmer style bulldog in a tan blast.
The image below is what he sent me as soon as it was back from blasting:

Teilhard, beautiful pipe, stunning blast and I love the shape. Michael Lindner, who just in case you don't know is a well known and respected American shaper, does Mark's blasting. Not sure what percentage of the blasting he does for Mark's pipes though, or if he does them all. Not to derail your thread but he just fiNished my commissioned poker as well and sent me the photos strips like yours, which I'll post in a separate thread. Kind of funny though, we should be getting them at the same time. Congrats, yours is a beauty and I wish you many many great smokes from it!

Congratulations on a beautiful pipe. Tinsky's a fine craftsman and a great guy.
Mark really nailed the bead and the flowing line of the pipe.
Please check back and tell us how it smokes and enjoy it!
Pete

I smoked my first bowl in the pipe today and I can say it it a notch above every pipe I own in both smoking quality and craftsmanship. In general I love bulldog pipes and I think he does the shape so well. Because of the practical shape I'm dedicating this one to aromatics since the shape allows me to do other things while smoking (driving, working, fishing, etc) and I don't want to be smoking anything too potent while concentrating on other tasks. I'm already thinking of getting a Mark Tinsky Canadian shape one for English blends for the times I just want to sit and savor the smoke...maybe for Father's Day?
