I was always attracted to both Danish and Italian styles, however, for production pipes mostly had a small group of Stanwells until recently when i picked up a Savinelli pot for a price i couldn't refuse. Liking that one, i then stepped up and tried out the Autograph line. Both are excellent. Surprising after almost 20 years of buying pipes it took me so long to get around to it. Glad i did! 👍

To stay on humane prices, I would recommend a Ceppo. I don't own any but I've always heard good things about them, then they are beauty and have lots of briar.
I own two Il Ceppo and I agree that they're probably the best bang for your buck. They are light-ish, well made and smoke wonderfully.

One bought new (for not much more than a mid-range Savinelli). The other one was a barely smoked estate, in mint condition (bargain price in eBay).
