My First Public Smoking Experience

I've only been smoking a pipe for a month now and haven't really taken my pipe out in public. If I were to smoke a nice aromatic tobacco out in public where smoking is allowed of course, I might not have rude remarks or anything of that nature regarding the aroma but as a pipe smoker who happens to be female, I'm somewhat scared of someone walking up to me and ignorantly saying "Women shouldn't be smoking pipes." and I wouldn't know how to reply in a polite and classy way. I'll start smoking in public soon... Right after I inform my close friends that I enjoy this hobby. I just hope they'll take it well and not try to lecture me about my own choice.
