I have been looking at this style for a while now and decided it was time to pull the trigger on one. My main concern with this style was the pipe being too heavy, I found one that fits in the weight category that I enjoy. The dimensions are 5.25" long 2" bowl height 3/4" bowl width 1.8" bowl depth and weighs only 57gr. It is a solid group 5 chamber and I am totally psyched to be getting this one. I have been admiring Scott's work for a while, he is a one man shop and an American carver, so it fits in with what I have been collecting the last month or so. I only have the one pic now but when I get the pipe I will post some more.

Nice looking pipe sir! I really like the stain and the ferrule/stem combo there. The fact that it's made in the USA adds to it's greatness.

Wow! That's a BEAUTY! I love the grain, the stain and the aforementioned ferrule and stem... everything just FITS.
Scott is a great guy, too. I love it when great guys make great pipes!

Thanks for the nice comments guys. I am not sure what the ferrule is made of, I will contact Scott and ask him. It did catch my eye and I think works nicely with the cumberland stem.

bdstansel, you are right, he does use a lot of pre ban ivory, when it gets here I will look at it and let you know. I can tell if it is ivory or something else. I have a lot of ivory in one of my pool cues so I can match it up.
pa, I hear you, it caught my eye right away. I love those stems.
top, I cannot imagine it not smoking cool with those huge walls. When I first saw it I said this pipe will never come in at my weight limit, when the seller got back to me with the numbers, I was kind of shocked it was that light.
Al, I did get real excited when I saw it was a perfect group 5.

I think he had that on his table in Columbus, when did you pick it up?

Well, I'd call it a cherrywood but that's just a matter of semantics. When you get right down to it, that is just an amazing looking pipe. Great score.

Adam, I bought this on Saturday from a guy over at SF. He is selling a ton of great looking pipes, a lot of high line stuff. I think he has had this for a little while although he only smoked it a dozen times. I am pretty sure he wasn't at the show, he spends most of his time on a yacht, I think he rents it out or something.
I always wondered what the difference is between a cherry wood and a poker. They look pretty similar.
