This will be my first pipe. It should be here any day now. It sounded like a good value for the money. Any thoughts on this? Looking forward to getting a lot of help from these forums...

My first pipe was almost the exact same one, rusticated bent billiard; except mine was a italian factory second. I still love to smoke it, and I'm sure you'll find it a perfect fit in the jaw/hand. What type of tobacco are you using for its maiden smoke?

Thats a beauty, good sir! Welcome to the forums! Load up your pipe, pull up a chair, and have a smoke with us. I think that you will find this is a great place to be!

Nice looking pipe! As a fellow pipe smoker one of the most exciting things is the anticipation of a pipe to arrive in the mail. Break the pipe in slowly and patiently and you will have enjoyment for many years and always remember your "first" pipe. Enjoy.

Very nice choice on the pipe, the very first pipe I ever got for myself was a Savinelli and they are just fantastic smokers. And you can never go wrong with a good bowl of OGS, it is one of my go to tobacco's. Enjoy the hobby!!!

I also started out with a bent pipe, but I've noticed a strong preference towards straight pipes now. Although that is a great looking pipe.

Great looking pipe. Much better than what I started with, which was something from a drugstore - as was the tobacco.
