Cortez, that's my makers Mark that I use on my jewelry and art. I had to register it to use it along with an alloy stamp, like .925 for sterling silver, 18k for gold. The pipe also has this stamp on the silver disk attached to the stem. My .925 stamp and my makers Mark. This way, if nothing else has value on the pipe, at least the sterling silver is certified to have trade value. Ha ha!

I can tell you my 1st pipe looked nothing like that, took about 10 before something came out that I liked. Also like the silver work. I am looking at going to the community college to learn a little about making silver jewelry which of course I want to incorperate into pipes. VERY nice 1st effort.

Do! Working with silver and other metals is my passion. I just fall into my work, and it's like getting paid to play. However, if you're wanting to sell your pipes, be careful with adding metals. I've found that a lot of guys who buy high end pipes, don't like metal on their pipes... just from hearing guys talk about pipes.

The green cumberland stem is great - wish we saw more of that going on in pipe manufactoring. Kind of suprising that Peterson doesn't utilize it at least...

Thank you again gents!! Yes, ravenwolf, you'd think... but, there are a few colors of this Cumberland that may be new or just available to artisans, I couldn't say for sure. I believe that most of the Peterson stems are mold injected, but again, I could be wrong on that.
