Thank you everyone. Thanks Shaintiques for the link to JustForHim.com. I am going to have to stick to the 3 tins and 2 samples for now although I switched out the Orlik for Peterson Wild Atlantic. There are so many I would like to try but for now I will be content just to get back into the saddle again.
But please keep the suggestions coming. I am filling in my notebook and taking notes from Tobaccoreviews.com to get a feel for all of the suggestions.

Two favorite aros are Scotty's Butternut Burley (at Pipes & Cigars) and Milan Tobacco's Colonial Pastime. Neither has flavorings that overwhelm the tobacco. Pastime has a bit of latakia. Wife doesn't mind either!

"my favorite aero is definitely trout stream"
"You can buy education, but wisdom is a gift from God."

An 'Aero' is a chocolate bar full of bubbles made by Nestle, you can buy those too. An 'aro' on the other hand is short for aromatic tobacco which most certainly would not be a gift from god :puffy:
Regards,
Jay.

You're getting tons of great advice here.
And then I read, "An 'aro' on the other hand is short for aromatic tobacco which most certainly would not be a gift from god."
Please ignore Jay, or at least, take him with a pound of salt. He's British. And odd. But he has developed a taste for Bourbon and he has become a fan of several of our very best TV series. He's also a Lazarus in restoring cast aside pipes.
Smoke what you like, bub.
PM sent.

Gawith and Hoggarth make some great aromatics that you can buy bulk for a great price.
Its not a traditional recommendation, but if you like it, there's a whole world of them to explore. And the theyre available most places.
I will go ahead and second this. I stayed away from them for about 7 years but when I finally took the plunge I was overjoyed by their amazing offerings!

As far as aros go, Lane 1Q. Its a popular aro for a reason. A little off the radar is Benningtons (shop in Florida) Connoisseurs Choice and is very good.

Try the Peter Stokkebye flakes, great price in bulk. I fell in love with them, for an Aro I like the Trout Stream and several others.
