zonomo, I have found that balsa filters are a great "in between" filter. You can either pick up the Savinelli's or make your own as I do out of a piece of balsa stock from a hobby shop. If I do ever use a filter that is the way I go

I remove the filter, every time I have left one in I have to surgically remove it from the bowl. I slobber and end up pushing the filter into the bowl with a pipe cleaner.
