My First Forever Stem!

I've got the Forever Stem bug. I just popped a nickel band on a new cob and dropped in a new blue swirl stem, and now I'm looking to outfit a new Country Gentleman.

As a bonus, I actually like the cheap plastic stem on my featherweight lunting cob, so now I have a spare in case I chew it up.

Looks nice. I’ve purchased one for an old Diplomat. But I’ve since come to really like the black stems that come from MM. They’re less than $1. — I have drawers full of replacements. The cob lasts forever. Add a new stem and it’s like putting a set of brand new tires on your car!

It's an acrylic stem from Vermont Freehand. Mine's a Blue Ripple "C".

I like the acrylic stems offered on stock items from MM, but I also have four of my MM cobs outfitted with Forever stems. One of my favorites is a swirl orange stem that sets off the cob nicely.

Yep. All of my MM cobs came with acrylic stems from the factory.
