My First Estate Pipe

Today I stopped in at Uhle's Pipe Shop in Milwaukee, WI. I bought a 1960s Preben Holm Danish freehand in excellent condition.

Here it is beside a Dr Grabow Savoy just to show the size of the pipe.

Thank you, gents. It is a good smoker. The number on the shank is a "1" in a circle. I have no idea what it means.

Ah a little research has shown that it is a grade number, with 1 being the lowest. There doesn't appear to be anything low grade about the pipe as far as I am concerned.

That's a great looking pipe, Mason. I really like it. It kind of looks like a pick ax shape with a twist on it.
