My First Cob Experince

After the filter, non filter debate I decided to go ahead without one. What a great smoke, nice and cool full flavor. I can't belive that such an inexpensive pipe can provide that kind of smoking pleasure. I know they aren't for everyone but I am a reformed briar guy.
I did notice that the taste of burning wood at the bottom of the bowl was not to my liking but I am sure it will burn away.
MM Washington bent. Smoked 50/50 from my local shop vanilla and whiskey.
Sure was sweeeet tastin.

Yep the taste goes away after a few smokes. Careful or the CCAD will have you in its grips.

I've puffed my new SmokingDragon custom cob a couple of times now. I was worried that cobs weren't going to be able to handle the heat like briar, but it's resilient stuff. And the fact that it's so light, it makes for an easy clench.
they're great pipes, no surprise to me now that they have such a following.

I have a cob from the 70's that was gifted to me by a good friend on the forums, but still haven't smoked it, someday.
