Thanks so much guys, the well wishes are really appreciated. I woke up from a nap and the pain meds had worn off, I am not letting that happen again. I just set my alarm to go off after 4 hours so I can stay on top of the pain, damn that freaking hurt when I woke up. As soon as the meds took effect I lit up a bowl of John Aylesbury Luxury flake in a Rad Davis Billiard, I am feeling much better.
Doug, you just gave me a great thought. I am going to contact Rad and give him a sob story so maybe he will get one of my commissions I have with him done soon to make me feel better. lol

Just joining in with the well wishes along with every one of us who have enjoyed your many many informative posts. Personally , I think it is remarkable that you are able to get back to typing and smoking so quickly after such major surgery.
You clearly are a trooper.

Harris.
I'm glad you liked my suggestion. I thought about you reading my comment and laughing or smiling which would help take your mind off your pain temporarily.

Thanks Bradley, being able to puff was a major consideration on why I did not stay in the hospital even though they said I could stay a couple of days.
Allen, thanks buddy, my recent kidney stone surgery definitely got me prepared for this one.
Doug, I sent off a note to Rad trying to get him to feel sorry for me. lol I will let you know if it works. Great idea and you definitely made me laugh, thanks buddy. I will give you a shout tomorrow and we can catch up.

Thanks Harris.
I will be home most of tomorrow except from 2:30 to 4:00 PM. That is when I am at physical therapy for my back. This cold weather is causing me difficulty.
When I found out your operation went well, I bought a new pipe. I can tell you about it tomorrow. Unsmoked estate pipe.

Jeeze. I'm really sorry to hear about your surgery Harris. But I'm glad you're on the mend and able to enjoy the pipe again. Looking forward to your posts, and pictures of your pipes! Cheers, and take care.

I guess I missed it somewhere along the way that you were having surgery sorry about that. Glad everything came out well for you Harris. The good thing about pain management is that it lets you know pronto whether you're doing it right or not. My wife has stenosis, bulging disc, no disc etc. so I really feel for you. Take care and have a speedy recovery. Smoke as many bowls as you want Dr's orders young man. :P

Harris, I wish you a speedy recovery. On that note, the best physical rehab for me was and is a two mile walk on the tread-mill every morning whilst I puff on a favorite blend! Try it and keep it a secret. It does work. I have many years of success to prove the theory. Don't try to sell anyone on the theory because they will not buy it. But, it works! Of course, do not inhale and keep a well ventilated room. I use a fan in the basement blowing the smoke upstairs!

Good to hear you're recovering well. Have a bowl.. but no alcyhol ;-) Those little drinkies don't work well with the pain meds.... don't ask me how I know, but it was unintentional a long, long time ago. I did sleep very well though.
